Summary

Over the years there has been a growing interest in the field of implantable medical devices with wireless interfaces. This project addressed how to supply the required electrical power to such devices. It aims to re-charge the implantable's battery by harvesting electrical energy from the body's movement.

The principal goal of the project will be to use state of the art micro fabrication techniques to build microgenerators. The focus of the project's technical developments will be on electromagnetic transduction. More details on each partner's expertise is given on their relevant web pages.
